Just a few quick updates today:

- Jimmy Moreland should begin production of the audiobook version for A Healer’s Retribution next Monday, which will hopefully be released in March on Audible.

- Despite my intentions of taking some time off before starting Book 7, I have a lot of ideas already bouncing around in my head, so I might just get writing a bit earlier than planned, though no promises on when the first draft will be done.

- For anyone who enjoys The Lurran Chronicles, please consider leaving a rating or review on your preferred platform, as that would really help me a ton. Thanks!

A Healer’s Retribution, the sixth book in The Lurran Chronicles, is now available here in eBook/Paperback, with the audiobook to follow in February. After spending the past year working on this latest installment of Eli’s adventures, which ended up being about 40% longer than originally planned, I’ll be taking a short break to rest my brain, though I plan on getting back to writing Book 7 in a few weeks.

Well, I’ve entirely missed my goal of getting Book 6 published before Christmas, which is honestly bumming me out. At this point, the manuscript is pretty well polished and already over 170k words, and I still have a couple of Eli scenes to finish in the next few days, so it might end up around 175k. Of course, that very length has meant this entire effort has taken far more time than the previous books, though I’m hoping to have the ebook/paperback published in the next couple of weeks. As for the audiobook, Jimmy plans to start later in January, soon after I’m done with the polishing, so it should be on Audible by February. Sorry for the delay.

Alright, I’ve finally started polishing Book 6, which will likely take about a month of work to complete. That means I should have the eBook/Paperback versions published by the end of the year, while Jimmy Moreland, my narrator, should begin producing the audiobook, though I imagine that project won’t be complete until January, and that’s entirely my fault for taking so long to get this done. However, on the plus side, this will be the longest book yet, with a ton of great scenes that I’m excited to share with my readers. Oh, and if anyone is interested in reading the relatively unedited first chapter for Book 5, I’ve posted the excerpt here.

Book 6 is coming along well, and I plan on having a solid manuscript ready for polishing by the end of this month, which should then take another month to complete. I’ve already been in contact with Jimmy Moreland about getting on his production schedule for the audiobook, and we’re tentatively looking good for my publishing in multiple formats by late November.

On a related note, while completing this next installment, I’ve come to the realization that I won’t be able to finish this series the way I’d like with just one more book. Back at the very beginning, I’d originally envisaged a trilogy for this first series as a start to a much grander arc spanning across the Greater Infinite, but once I dove into the characters and their individual backgrounds that revolved around Eli’s adventures on Lurra, I found myself wanting to fill up this magical world with all manner of details that inevitably led to a much grander tale to tell. Consequently, in the course of my rambling prose, three books turned into five, and more recently, those goalposts were moved to seven, yet now I can’t predict how many more books are left in this series, but I will say there’s a LOT more I have planned for what comes after.

Well, Book 6 is taking far longer than expected, mostly due to a lot of plot arcs finally coming together, and the draft is only about 2/3 complete, meaning I’m definitely not getting it published by this summer. Sorry for the delay to anyone anticipating the next release.

I’m pretty deep into writing Book 6, and it looks like I’m not getting it published by the beginning of this summer like I’d been hoping, as there’s just so much story to tell. For other updates, the audiobook for Ruins of Fortune (TLC #5) is now available on Audible, and I’m working with a professional artist for some additional artwork related to The Lurran Chronicles, so look out for those soon.

I’ve been writing about Eli’s adventures in Lurra over the past several years, yet in all that time, I’ve taken no breaks longer than a few days, so I’ve finally decided to see a bit more of the world. With that in mind, I’ve put all my belongings into storage before hitting the road, and my first stop is a month-long stay in Seattle. Then, once it warms up, I’m thinking of heading east, though we’ll see where things take me since I’d really like to visit Europe again. Of course, I have a new laptop along for these adventures, and I’ve already begun writing Book 6 of The Lurran Chronicles, which I’m planning to have done by this summer. Oh, and the audiobook for Ruins of Fortune (TLC #5) is now in production, so that should be released onto Audible soon.

Ruins of Fortune (TLC #5) is now available on Amazon for eBook/Paperback, with the audiobook following next month. The audiobook for Fate’s Tempest (TLC #3) is going through approval with Audible and is on pace to be released by the end of next week. A Gateway To Galdish (TLC #4) is already in production with Jimmy Moreland, and I’m hopeful we’ll get that over to Audible for approval soon, with its release in several weeks. Assuming everything stays on schedule, that should mean all five books will have their audiobooks done by February, which is when I’m diving into writing #6 to continue Eli’s adventures in the Greater Infinite.

Book 2’s audiobook is in production, with the publishing date planned for the end of this month, with books 3 and 4 to follow right after. I’m very close to finishing up Book 5, though I’m really enjoying adding a few additional sections at the moment. Regardless, it’ll be coming out soon.

Alright, books 2 - 4 are ready to start their audiobook production, though it’ll take a while to complete all three. At the same time, I’m still working on Book 5, which looks like a November release after all. Busy times!

Just a quick update: Jimmy Moreland narrated the audiobook Eyes of the Sign, which is now available on Audible. The next book in the series should start production in a few weeks, with the rest to follow soon after. I’m also pretty far along with Book 5, and I think a November release is probable at this point, though I’m still shooting for October. That’s about it. All the best!

Hey everyone,

For those interested, I’m deep into creating my as-yet-to-be-named 5th book in The Lurran Chronicles, which has been a blast to write. I plan on having it out by November, though it might slip into December. The thing is, I have to reserve some time for the audiobooks being produced, especially since I’m entirely new to the whole thing. Right now, Eyes of the Sign is being narrated by a professional with a much better voice than mine, so look for that to hit Audible next month. The rest of the series will follow shortly after, and I’m pretty excited to find out what people think.

Anyway, all the best!
